\nThat was one of our favorite songs (released in
\n1970) by The Carpenters.  The characters
\nin the song were a couple, just married, and were looking forward to new
\nhorizons, new roads to choose, with so much life ahead of them.  We sang that song completely unaware of what
\nlie ahead\u2026.but as long as we were together, side by side, we just knew we\u2019d
\nmake it through each and every bump in the road that we might encounter.  Seems like unrealistic thinking, but it is
\nthe ONLY way to live \u2013 believing and always hoping for the best, but just in
\ncase the worst might come, we\u2019d be able to handle it together.   That\u2019s
\nbecause we placed our hope and trust in the ONE who had already prepared the
\nway for us.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nWe\u2019re one week into this new year and doesn\u2019t
\nthe start of a new year make us feel the same way\u2026a certain excitement about
\nthe possibilities that are out there for us?    We may reflect on the past, but no longer do
\nwe dwell there, because we certainly can\u2019t change the past.  Looking through the rear view mirror is no
\noption.  I mentioned a couple of months
\nago that for five years I had \u201cRun for Ron\u201d in the Route 66 Marathon, but this
\nRoute 66, while I was running, I clearly got the message \u201cThere\u2019s no need to be
\nrunning for Ron any longer.  He\u2019s doing
\njust fine running on his own.  It\u2019s time
\nto run your own race \u2013 run strong for Donna.\u201d 
\nI got it.  I had been faithful to
\nkeep the past in my present long enough. 
\nI was turning a page in my story. 
\nI knew that I was supposed write some new stories and a new
\nchapter.   It was time so BEGIN again with the
\nexpectation of great adventures and unparalleled blessings up ahead.  But most importantly to write some new stories
\nthat leave a legacy for those who are following me — a legacy of “I
\ncan” and “I will”!!   <\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nI\u2019m already started on that new chapter, then
\nat the end of 2016….I’ll glance back at the victories won and the many, many
\ndoors that opened up for me to great opportunities!   <\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n

\nToday, I close the door to the past, open the
\ndoor to the future, I take a deep breath, step on through and start a new
