Home sweet home after having been with my family in Cabo Del Sol for the last nine days. What a great way to end 2021 and begin 2022 \u2014 with family love and family fun. Attached are a few photos \u2014 only the good times that rolled \u2014 and NOT the times we\u2019d rather not remember, like my oldest grandson losing his wallet when he was completing his customs form as he entered Cabo. That \u201cwelcome\u201d meant having to quickly cancel his credit cards and replace his driver\u2019s license.

Not pictured are the sickly ones who came down with a flu-bug. But, I did add photos here of a phenomenon here. Rain is rare in Cabo. Maybe seven times a year at most. One of those days came on December 31st as we were going through a flea market. A rip-snorting downpour. As you can see, there is no infrastructure here for massive rain \u2014 flooding comes quickly.

We social media proponents love showing the sunny side of our lives. But, as we all know \u2014 gray skies and rain comes. It is a part of our lives and it is vital for our infrastructure to be solid. That\u2019s why I\u2019m ever thankful to be standing on solid rock \u2014 that ROCK is Jesus \u2014 our firm foundation that never caves and is EVER-lasting through the storms and the rains in our lives.

Unless our heads are in the sand in some remote location, we\u2019ve all heard that the ever-lasting Betty White passed away a few days ago just before her 100th birthday. I pray that she WAS ever-lasting and we\u2019ll meet up with her in heaven one day. What an incredible career she had for over seven decades. She was one of the originals to receive a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The 2014 edition of “Guinness World Records” certified hers as the longest career ever for a female entertainer. She won multiple Emmy Awards. She was inducted into the Television Academy Hall of Fame in 1995.

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now, about her \u201clast laugh\u201d. \u201cPeople\u201d magazine already had her featured on its cover last week with the headline, \u201cBetty White Turns 100!\u201d Then, as we know, the ever-lasting actress died Friday morning at the age of ninety-nine. Someone tweeted, \u201cI think Betty White would enjoy having made one last epic joke.\u201d

Of course we all know that life is never certain. But, we can be certain \u2014 whether disappointment, inconvenience and storms come or not \u2014 that our Constant, God Almighty is with us\u2026..even when our appointed time comes to die. Life is not certain. Even Betty White didn\u2019t outlast to her 100th birthday. Hebrews 9:27 says: \u201cIt is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment.\u201d None of us are crazy about tough times and thinking about our passing isn’t one of our favorite thoughts. But we do understand in our conscious minds that the mortality rate is 100 percent and death is real. We know that Jesus could return tomorrow, or we could go to Him today.

I am writing this blog today which was yesterday. You are reading it today which is today. I like to think I\u2019ll be blogging right through to my last day on this earth, but only God has my appointment for eternity scheduled. I won\u2019t have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, but I am CERTAIN I will meet up with the STAR of heaven. I pray that Betty White met Him face-to-face. And I pray you will too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Are you living in the same certainty that if you unexpectedly died today that you would meet Jesus face-to-face in heaven? If not, why not? I pray CERTAINTY drives all of us in this new year of all those things that matter most \u2014 especially living our lives with eternity in mind and making sure it\u2019s our #1 priority!
