Ever have one of those days when it seems like you\u2019re a hamster in its wheel \u2013 going 90 miles an hour to get all you need to get done\u2026..DONE? But we all know that wheel is going nowhere. That\u2019s the way we might feel, but God knows we ARE going somewhere and we\u2019re checking all those to-does right off the list. We just need to BREATHE!
The very essence of our living\u2026\u2026is breathing. And, NOT till it\u2019s over and our last breath is taken, do we stop breathing. The point is with our breathing \u2013 no matter whether we\u2019re running late to pick up our child at school or getting to an important medical appointment or a very important interview\u2026.we are living and breathing.
This blog comes from someone who sent me a FB friend request yesterday. I\u2019m cautious about those requests because often it\u2019s a spammer. I go to their page to see if they\u2019re legit. This one had one reputable friend, so I accepted her request. And I\u2019m so glad I did because of what I read on her page about breathing. It\u2019s amazing! Here you go!
\u201cThere was a moment when Moses had the nerve to ask God what his name is. God was gracious enough to answer, and the name he gave is recorded in the original Hebrew as YHWH.
Over time we\u2019ve arbitrarily added an \u201ca\u201d and an \u201ce\u201d in there to get YaHWeH, presumably because we prefer vowels. But scholars and rabbis have noted that the letters YHWH represent breathing sounds, or aspirated consonants. When pronounced without intervening vowels, it sounds like breathing. YH (inhale): WH (exhale).
A baby\u2019s first cry, his first breath, speaks the name of God. A deep sigh calls His name \u2013 or a groan or gasp that is too heavy for mere words. Even an atheist would speak His name unaware that their very breath is giving constant acknowledgment to God. Likewise, a person leaves this earth with their last breath when God\u2019s name is no longer filling their lungs.
So, when I can\u2019t utter anything else, is my cry calling out His name?
Being alive means I speak His name constantly. Is it heard the loudest when I\u2019m the quietest?
In sadness, we breathe heavy sighs. In joy, our lungs feel almost like they will burst. In fear we hold our breath and must be told to breathe slowly to help us calm down. When we\u2019re about to do something hard, we take a deep breath to find our courage.
When I think about it, breathing is giving God praise. Even in the hardest moments!

Here is my two cents worth on what I just read. Life is about breathing \u2014 inhaling and exhaling \u2014 often taking deeper, longer breaths, sometimes gasping for breath, and sometimes freely flowing \u2014 not even thinking about breathing at all. In my every moment of life, I am breathing and appreciating this moment. \u201cLet everything that has breath praise the Lord! Praise the Lord!\u201d (Psalm 150:6)
