<\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\nWhile my family are sun-lovers and spend much time taking on the \u201crays\u201d, me and my white-lily skin settle into a lounge under a huge umbrella reading or simply embracing the look and sounds of the waves. Or, I might venture out to search for sea shells (my bounty is pictured here), or stay back at the house, and find myself right here at my computer \u2013 savoring the inspirations God seems to load me up with daily.<\/p>\n\n\n

<\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\nMy favorite me-times are the very early morning times as the sun rises over the Pacific Ocean, taking lots of photos. I embrace the high tide right now and the sounds of the waves bursting against the ginormous rock formations. My heart and soul are soothed.<\/p>\n\n\n

The natural rock formations always make me think of the \u201cSolid-Rock\u201d foundation we have in Christ. Then there\u2019s the tropical floral, palm trees, and cacti that display God\u2019s artistry and color palette.<\/p>\n\n\n

<\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\nAlways a treat for us each time we\u2019re here is taking the 45-minute drive to Flora Farms which is an amazing 25-acre organic working farm in San Jose del Cabo. The Flora\u2019s Field Kitchen, the band, the shops, the food prepared from their own animals and gardens is a delight. The outdoor experience for the dining and atmosphere is outstanding.<\/p>\n\n\n

<\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\nMy sweetheart never had the opportunity to be on these Cabo ocean or field trips. He went where no colors or splendor here could ever compare to THERE! But, oh, how he would have loved these experiences. I\u2019m grateful that I don\u2019t live in \u201cif only\u2019s\u201d. This is MY season. This is my chance to dance and embrace still living on this side of heaven.<\/p>\n\n\n

<\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\nI\u2019ll soon be back in my Austin sweet spot and won\u2019t skip a beat on riding on the fast track. There aren\u2019t exotic plants, crashing waves or sunrises where I live. In fact, my morning sunrises in Austin are blocked by the Texas Children\u2019s Hospital being built.<\/p>\n\n\n

<\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\nIt\u2019s okay! No matter where I am, I choose the \u201cjoy of the Lord as my strength\u201d, the peace of God that passes all understanding, the grace of God that is sufficient for me, and the hope of God that assures me that this life is just temporary and my loved ones in heaven are in my future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I will dole out cheer, turn inward thoughts to outward joy, turn garments of heaviness into garments of praise and thanksgiving! I choose God\u2019s life of joy instead of self-pity.<\/p>\n\n\n

<\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\nPsalm 92:12 says: \u201cThe righteous will flourish like palm trees; they will grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Planted in the Lord\u2019s temple, they will flourish in the courtyard of our God. They will still bear fruit in old age; they will be luxuriant and green.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This \u201cold\u201d gal likes thinking and living in that \u201cbearing fruit in old age\u201d part! Thank God there are no age limits to His promises. His Word says \u201cSurely goodness and mercy shall follow me ALL the days of my life\u2026\u201d That is my \u201cMaturity Plan\u201d and it\u2019s based on His promises and bearing good fruit for Him AND me!<\/p>\n\n\n

I look forward to standing beside the younger generation on the front lines of battle and cheering them on while trusting God for renewing my strength daily. The best way to stay young on the inside is staying on the front lines of loving God, loving others, and serving this generation with vigor and vitality.
