We celebrated May 1st<\/sup> as the start of a very full month of activities. What a blessing it was to kick it off with attending our Texas Governor\u2019s Prayer Breakfast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

May 2nd<\/sup>, Brennan\u2019s exciting baseball season ended. We were happy they won their district playoffs. \u00a0Next baseball season will be at University of Mary Hardin Baylor. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n

Yesterday, the 4th<\/sup>, (MAY the 4th<\/sup> be with you!) is what my Star Wars-loving Payton and Alexia speak about, But, most importantly, it was the National Day of Prayer.\u00a0 Thank you God, for the freedom we have to join millions\u00a0in\u00a0prayer\u00a0across the country.

Father, Thank You\u00a0for\u00a0the freedom to worship You\u00a0in\u00a0this country. Let us not take it\u00a0for\u00a0granted. Help us share Your salvation with others\u00a0in\u00a0love and kindness.

We also praise You\u00a0for\u00a0the examples\u00a0of\u00a0Your Holy Spirit moving\u00a0in\u00a0America. Thank You\u00a0for\u00a0the renewal and revival taking place\u00a0in\u00a0many university campuses.

We are reminded\u00a0of\u00a0Romans 12:11 which states, \u201cNever be lacking\u00a0in\u00a0zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.\u201d We\u00a0pray\u00a0that You continue to pour out Your Spirit upon campuses and communities.

Please forgive us.\u00a0 Help us forgive one another and follow You. In Jesus\u2019 name we pray. Amen.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n

Also, last night, May 4th, we gringos celebrated today\u2019s Cinco de Mayo by indulging in yummy Mexican food at my community\u2019s Thursday get-together.\u00a0 \u00a0It is a wonderful commemoration of Mexican culture and heritage while celebrating the Mexican army\u2019s May 5, 1862 victory over France during the Franco-Mexican War.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next on the agenda, Sunday, May 14th<\/sup>, is Mother\u2019s Day.  I am grateful to be a mom and Nana. Thank you to my mother and mother-in-law for paving the way for me, by leading me in their examples of God\u2019s unconditional love to my family. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To all mothers who mother those who need Godly examples. I am already celebrating and honoring all the beautiful and selfless women that \u201cmother\u201d those around them with God\u2019s love, kindness, and wisdom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then to add to this busy month of activities, the Wuerch\u2019s are in the throes of many of Brennan\u2019s upcoming graduation activities.\u00a0 He will give his senior thesis on May 16th. His baccalaureate is May 25th<\/sup>, graduation is May 26th<\/sup>, and his grad party will be on May 27th<\/sup>!\u00a0 I am thankful for making the move to Austin in 2021 so that I can be on-site for all this month holds!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And, May 25th is also the birthday of my third grandson (in order of birth-dates), Payton Wallace! Happy Birthday, precious, smart, handsome and successful Payton Cole Wallace! I love you so much! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I love that the month of May brings special recognition to our Lord\u2019s Mother, Mary. We express gratitude for her \u201cyes\u201d, her sacrifice, the fruit of her womb, Jesus, as well as her continual intercessions for us. \u201cBlessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb!\u201d (Luke 1:42)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thank you for indulging me in my \u201cMay\u201d prayers, tributes, and celebrations. Thanks to our Maker Who makes every day a May Day. He said to Moses to tell Aaron and his sons to bless the people of Israel with this special blessing (And it is to you and me, too!) in Numbers 6:24-26:
\u201cMAY the Lord bless you and protect you.
MAY the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. 
MAY the Lord show you His favor and give you His peace.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
