For my godson who is graduating today, my grandson who graduates next week and all graduates:

Dear Bright Eyes!
You are about to graduate. It feels like you know everything. But what is actually true, you know a little, so it is really important to keep learning. Make every new day a learning experience \u2013 learning about yourself, others, and everything! Keep your eyes wide open for surprises in each new day! When your eyes are wide open, you’ll even sense God-winks in every way!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moving forward is not really about what you do or do it with \u2013 a college, a job, a person, a place, or a thing. You already have a job, and it is to become all God created you to be. You have had it since you drew in your first breath, and you\u2019ll have it until you release your last. Everything in between is just about assignments and different experiences that will help with the becoming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

School, work, relationships, and family can all be holy, sacred things. Living in the light of God\u2019s love, mercy and grace is the key to each day\u2019s success. Each new day can be full of possibilities and expectations that something good is available to you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Don\u2019t let anyone trick you into believing what you\u2019re on earth to do can easily be printed on a business card or typed in neat lines on a resume. You are on this earth to BE \u2013 which is just another way of saying: \u201cYou are here to love and be loved.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is okay to have a lot to do, especially if it aligns with who you are created to be and what you\u2019re called to accomplish. But beware of being busy. Don\u2019t hustle. You don\u2019t have to hustle. You are enough as you are! You plus God are the majority!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lean into becoming more YOU! God created YOU to be the best YOU that You can be! Pay attention to it. Your greatest strengths might be in places you think you\u2019re least likely to find now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A related side note: When it comes to who you choose to have in your life, pick quality over quantity. Know your worth. Only choose to let people deeply know you if they see it too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of all those fortunate people who will come in and out of your life, you only get to keep two for the whole ride: yourself and God. So, it makes good sense to learn to love yourself as much as God loves you. Show THAT to others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You are quite wonderful. Have the courage to start believing this because it will humble you. It will make you lift your hands in praise to the One who made you. And then extend those same hands to bless those around you. You were built for “loving others as much as you love yourself”!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI praise you because you made me in an amazing and wonderful way. What you have done is wonderful. I know this very well.\u201d (Psalm 139:14)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You really are going to be okay. More than okay! God is on your side. Never forget that! In fact, have daily chats with Him. He\u2019ll show you THE WAY!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
