That is correct except that the beholder may not be able to physically see. On the other hand, I know some incredible sight-impaired people who see with their heart. I think that\u2019s called their 6th sense.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/mypeacezone.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Bryson-Bentley-2009.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18168\" width=\"294\" height=\"442\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mypeacezone.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Bryson-Bentley-2009.jpg 402w, https:\/\/mypeacezone.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Bryson-Bentley-2009-200x300.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 294px) 100vw, 294px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>In the case of our precious 14-years-old Bentley, my children\u2019s beautiful, white fur, big dark eyes, Havanese dog, I\u2019m sure he has had that 6th sense operating at full-on ability, even though he has been blind for the last couple of years.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/mypeacezone.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Ryan-Camping-with-Boys-Cropped-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18170\" width=\"372\" height=\"364\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mypeacezone.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Ryan-Camping-with-Boys-Cropped-1.jpg 474w, https:\/\/mypeacezone.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Ryan-Camping-with-Boys-Cropped-1-300x294.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 372px) 100vw, 372px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>What a joy that sweet doggy has been to our family. He has been Mama Shawntel\u2019s sidekick for many years. In their travels, far and near, he accompanied her and the family. Many times, I took care of him at my place while the family was traveling about. It was my joy. I loved walking him to our dog park where he had pals who loved sniffing him. He didn\u2019t mind at all.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/mypeacezone.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Bentley-Nana-Brennan-Bryson.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18171\" width=\"346\" height=\"461\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mypeacezone.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Bentley-Nana-Brennan-Bryson.jpg 480w, https:\/\/mypeacezone.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Bentley-Nana-Brennan-Bryson-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 346px) 100vw, 346px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>You might notice that I am speaking in the past tense. That is because our darling Bentley went to doggy heaven yesterday. We close this chapter of caring for him and making him comfortable, but the love for him will never leave us. I was there caring for the boys AND him many times in Seattle and Austin over these last fourteen years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Honestly, I\u2019ve never understood until now that the passing of a family dog is like losing a part of the family. Bentley has been that part and we will forever cherish the memories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/mypeacezone.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Bentley-on-leash-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18174\" width=\"521\" height=\"330\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mypeacezone.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Bentley-on-leash-2.jpg 715w, https:\/\/mypeacezone.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Bentley-on-leash-2-300x190.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 521px) 100vw, 521px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bentley was feisty and playful in his young years, grabbing stuffed animals and running with them, initiating a good tug-of-war, loving a walk around the neighborhood (but always veering off and pulling the leash where he wanted to go). In his older years, he fell into a nice rhythm of rest and companionship.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"525\" height=\"306\" src=\"https:\/\/mypeacezone.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Bryson-BD-Card-7-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18176\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mypeacezone.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Bryson-BD-Card-7-2.jpg 525w, https:\/\/mypeacezone.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Bryson-BD-Card-7-2-300x175.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 525px) 100vw, 525px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Though Bentley couldn\u2019t see or hear, he never failed in finding one of the family to be near. I think, rather than us comforting him, he made sure he was available for whoever needed him to be close to them.<br><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/mypeacezone.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Seahawks-Brennan-Bentley.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18177\" width=\"336\" height=\"448\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mypeacezone.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Seahawks-Brennan-Bentley.jpg 720w, https:\/\/mypeacezone.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Seahawks-Brennan-Bentley-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 336px) 100vw, 336px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Good Lord, my tears flowed on Friday when I said goodbye to him. He has been a big part of my life here in Austin. I came home and dug into my photo albums to find these cherished photos of him &#8212; so many milestones and holidays and memories! He loves us and them. Jesus said, \u201cAll things are possible to him who believes!\u201d If we believe that, then we best be getting ready for a big people and animal reunion in Heaven!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019ll miss you, dear Bentley.
