One thing I learned during my \u201cwidowhood\u201d season, from November 16th, 2010, to August 8th, 2023, is that we card-carrying members of widowhood are some of the best people in this entire world. We lived through pain, life-upheaval, and heartbreak, and so many of us have come out the other side more beautiful than ever before.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Just in case you are facing widow(er)-hood, no matter what age you may be, and are already dreading it, please let me tell you about the upside. Widowhood taught me many things. It taught me perspective, patience, kindness, an open heart to others, tolerance, acceptance, appreciation for the present moment, and so much more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Honestly, widowhood never defined who I was, but it sure did shape who I became. I rolled up my sleeves and took ownership of that season. I used the pain to turn it to gain with a new mission field — my blogging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I accepted the challenges of selling my home, building another home, selling that home four years later, moving to another city, bought a home there, and made priceless friendships with people who walked the walk with me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I sold that home during Covid and moved to Austin where I\u2019ve been for almost three years now. I have smiled, accepted opportunities to serve others in elections, a family center, at church and where I live. Because I opened the window coverings of my heart and refused to live in a \u201cwoe is me\u201d mindset, I met the new love of my life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I have smiled, learned, and grown. I evolved as a person, a loyal friend, AND, I have remarried. CRICKETS! Wait! What? You remarried? Yes, and here is my widow card. I don\u2019t need it anymore!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But, let me assure you. I won\u2019t forget the stuff I lived through. I won\u2019t forget the memories, the lessons, and my history. People are not replaceable. Yes, I am married to Carl G. Noble and on my social media platforms, my name is Donna Wuerch Noble.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I chose the blessing of sharing my life, my lessons learned, my faith and my love with this beautiful, godly, and hilarious man. The truth is I can be both a wife to a man on this earth whom I love, and the widow of a man I fulfilled my \u201cTil death do us part\u201d vows to, who I will always love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
People are not replaceable. One person does not replace another. One love is not like another love. They are different. Love is unique. I truly believe that great love enhances our capacity for more great love in our life. Love expands the heart! Who knew that I could live on and in love from here to eternity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I make a pledge to my readers. I will continue to blog with intense fervor and fire. The man that came before, made me better able to love the man that came after. Life has been a journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I know that as I continue to write my story, it will only be as beautiful as Holy Spirit continues to inspire and motivate me. I will continue to write about the nudges and the adventures and the lessons I learn daily. I expect to morph into a deeper soul capable of rich love and unique perspective.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Love is not mutually exclusive, and human beings are not replaceable. I am moving forward and will be writing beautiful new chapters with my Noble man. No place I\u2019d rather be.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
