I know our children and grands would tell you we are proud, adoring grandparents. We purpose to be their #1 fans and cheerleaders. I\u2019d like to introduce you to my BONUS granddaughter. This is our spunky and adorable Adeline aka Addie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What a joy she is to us and the many cheering fans for Westlake High School\u2019s Chapparals\u2019 football team here in Austin. I\u2019d like to think Addie and her cheering team helped propel them to their undefeated season last year (only lost in the semi-finals).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Being a cheerleader to others is a built-in power-pack that comes with the full-package deal we come equipped with. God placed it in all of us. Not for just our own family, but all who are in our sphere of influence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019ve cheered my children on at sports events, talent contests and sales competitions. I\u2019ve cheered for them in their academics and in their faith. I\u2019ve cheered them through decision-making times and when life gave them some pretty rough seasons. I know that my encouragement has helped them push through their pain, anxiety, and determination to finish strong.<\/p>\n\n\n

That’s a beautiful picture of what we can do for others who are running their life races daily. I know that\u2019s why I\u2019m here in this season of my life as an encourager aka cheerleader. Not only to be a voice in print, but in real shouts of praise to others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I want to pump courage and confidence into others. I know that an encouraging word, offered at the right moment, may make the difference between us finishing well or collapsing along the way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have been those optimistic, faith-building, \u201cgo-get-\u2018em\u201d kind-of-parents and grandparents. It has served us well because we see our children cheering and encouraging their children. We smile from ear-to-ear when we see our grands hearing and heeding their parents’ advice as they prove themselves successful in their sports, academics, careers, and dreams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We all should be those kind-of-cheerleaders who shout and cheer with phrases like: \u201cYou’re gonna’ make it!\u201d \u201cYou can do it!\u201d \u201cI believe in you!\u201d \u201cYou are special!\u201d \u201cYou have what it takes!\u201d \u201cYou’re perfect just the way you are.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My children and grandchildren are doing well all on their own, but I still purpose daily to speak or text a positive word to them. I want to continue to be a spark that ignites a great passion in their lives. I\u2019m a cheering wife, mom and grandmom. I want to “prophesy” success and blessings over them as they become the best people they can be!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And HEY! I want to also speak good things over you and yours, my friends. That\u2019s what this daily blog is all about. I want my light to shine into all those crevices of your hearts to help you see what God sees in you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You are God’s beloved child, and you are worthy of being praised, encouraged and supported as you run your race. Live with knowing that God is with you, cheering you on to your Finish Line. Run strong. Finish strong. And pass it along!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
