It all started one Wednesday night at our church\u2019s weekly family dinner. We overheard two couples chatting about their next dance class. We leaned in closer to hear more! Turns out, several couples from our church gather for a meal and then dive into dance classes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Take that a \u201cdance-step\u201d further \u2013 we jumped into the conversation and \u201cthe dance\u201d! Most every Monday night, you\u2019ll find my husband and me — yes, us \u2013 the oldest couple in the group — taking dance lessons, too! BTW \u2013 no mix and mingle here — one partner only!

The couple leading these classes has a love story that makes Hallmark look like amateur hour. They were on the brink of divorce when a counselor suggested they try dance classes to reconnect. And, it worked! Their marriage was restored, and now they\u2019re teaching other couples how to dance — and how to love again.<\/p>\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their logo says it all: \u201cAs 1-ONE Dancing \u2013 where two will become one.\u201d And if that doesn\u2019t give you goosebumps, the back of their shirts might. His reads, \u201cDARE to LEAD,\u201d and hers, \u201cTRUST to FOLLOW.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Isn\u2019t that beautiful? It\u2019s a reminder that a man leads not just in dance but also as a Godly example to his family and others — a leader worth following.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AND, for the rest of us \u2013 to TRUST the one(s) who lead us with Godly character and wisdom BUT, most importantly, to trust THE ONE, our Lord Jesus Christ Who is the way \u2013 the truth and the life AND, the greatest dance partner of all!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each of our dance classes begins and ends with prayer. Lord, have mercy! We need that prayer. LOL! We\u2019re learning the two-step and are having so much fun with lots of laughter and learning!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let\u2019s be real — we won\u2019t be appearing on Dancing with the Stars anytime soon. That\u2019s okay! We\u2019re not in it to win it, but we are learning that life \u2013 much like a slow dance and then a high-stepping upbeat dance is oh so sweet when we allow our Lord to lead on the dance floor of life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He sets the rhythm, and as we trust Him to guide our steps, we find ourselves in the most beautiful love affair of all \u2013 following our Leader Who never misses a step!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
