This weekend, we were blessed with a surprise that left us in awe and gratitude. Months ago, Carl’s daughter asked if we\u2019d like to board a private jet and go with them to Washington D.C. to the Museum of the Bible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And she said, \u201cYou won\u2019t need to worry about walking too far to a hotel \u2013 we\u2019ll be staying in the suites on the top floor of the museum!\u201d We made it to DC and our suite and lo and behold, we had a beautiful view of the Capitol Building. It has been a most amazing blessing to be here! Oh, the goodness of God — to have this experience we\u2019ll never forget.<\/p>\n\n\n

From the moment we stepped inside the museum, we were captivated by the profound history and stories laid out before us. Each exhibit seemed to whisper the grandeur of God\u2019s hand throughout time, a testament to His unwavering love and faithfulness.<\/p>\n\n\n

From the ancient scrolls to the beautifully preserved artifacts, we were reminded that this book, the Bible, we hold so dear, is not just a collection of stories, but the living, breathing Word of God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the highlights of our visit was the Pilgrim\u2019s Progress production. It was more than a play; it was an invitation to walk alongside Christian on his journey to the Celestial City.<\/p>\n\n\n

As we watched, I couldn\u2019t help but see bits of our own pilgrimage — how often we\u2019ve faced the Slough of Despond (a state of extreme depression or despondency). or stood at the foot of the Cross, letting go of burdens too heavy to carry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was a powerful reminder that, though the path may be narrow and the way difficult, we are never alone. God, our Creator, is guiding us every step of the way.<\/p>\n\n\n

As we wandered through the museum, I was struck by the countless lives touched, transformed, and guided by the Scriptures. It reminded me of the apostle Paul\u2019s words in Romans 15:4, \u201cFor everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide, we might have hope.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n

This hope is what sustains us, especially in times like these when the world seems chaotic and uncertain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My heart was full — full of gratitude for the precious gift of God\u2019s Word, for this beautiful experience, and for the reminder that His story, woven throughout history, is the anchor of our faith.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was a day of wonder and worship, and I left more convinced than ever that His promises endure forever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you ever get the chance to visit this “heaven on earth” blessing, take it. Let it strengthen your faith, remind you of our Creator\u2019s love, and encourage you to keep walking this pilgrim\u2019s path with your eyes fixed on the Celestial City (heaven) — our home sweet home!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
