I started my morning in a way I know I shouldn\u2019t\u2014scrolling through the newsfeeds. What did I see? Oh, just the usual elephants and donkeys charging into their political warzones. Ugh! It had me thinking, “Wow, what a sad time we\u2019re living in.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But then — I caught myself. I\u2019m a child of God! I don\u2019t need to let all this noise define my mood. No way, Jose’! My God is still running the show! As if on cue, the phrase \u201cHappy Days\u201d popped into my mind like a divine reminder. Yes! God was doing some mind-renewing right then and there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I started humming the old tune, \u201cHappy days are here again, the skies above are clear again, so let’s sing a song of cheer again\u2026\u201d And you know what? That song was written to celebrate the end of World War I, a time when peace felt so far away. But peace came.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Then — cue the flashback — my heart started belting out \u201cOh Happy Day!\u201d A song that\u2019ll always have a special place, especially after seeing Sister Act. (If you know, you know!) I\u2019ve even got my own memories of singing it with the Masters IV Quartet, bringing the house down with joy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Here\u2019s the thing: The world today? It looks a lot like chaos and confusion. Peace and happiness might feel like distant memories, especially when we flip on the news. But\u2014God. Nothing is impossible with Him! He\u2019s the ultimate peacekeeper, joy-giver, and life-lifter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The truth is, what\u2019s happening in the world doesn\u2019t hold a candle to the happiness God gives. Psalm 144:15 reminds us \u201cHappy are the people whose God is the Lord!\u201d And we, dear friends, have a joy that transcends the daily grind. Thanks to Jesus, we\u2019ve got peace and harmony forever!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There\u2019s no denying it\u2014life throws curveballs. But with God in control, we\u2019re never out of control. We serve a problem-solving, grace-giving, all-forgiving, absolutely amazing God! So, why aren\u2019t we the happiest people on earth?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When we get our hearts wrapped around the incredible message of Jesus\u2014that God sent His only Son so we could live in freedom\u2014we should be singing from the rooftops! Oh Happy Day! When Jesus washed our sins away, He gave us every reason to smile, dance, and sing it out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So, let\u2019s keep that joy alive! No matter what\u2019s happening around us, we\u2019ve got a reason to celebrate every single day. Oh Happy Day, indeed!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
