Let the past be the past. Let the new BE new.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There\u2019s something special about the start of a new year \u2013 the feel of a fresh journal, a clean calendar, and a renewed determination bubbling up inside us. It\u2019s like holding a blank canvas, ready for God\u2019s brushstrokes to paint something beautiful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For many, 2024 was\u2026 well, a doozy. If that\u2019s you, then I imagine you flung the door shut on last year and welcomed 2025 with open arms. And here\u2019s the good news \u2013 God designed us for do-overs! His specialty is making all things new.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let\u2019s anchor ourselves in His promises:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2728 GOD MAKES US NEW.<br>&#8220;If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.&#8221; \u2013 2 Corinthians 5:17<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2728 GOD GIVES US NEW SONGS OF PRAISE.<br>&#8220;He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God.&#8221; \u2013 Psalm 40:3<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2728 GOD MAKES NEW WAYS FOR US.<br>&#8220;See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.&#8221; \u2013 Isaiah 43:19<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2728 GOD\u2019S MERCIES ARE NEW EVERY MORNING.<br>&#8220;The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.&#8221; \u2013 Lamentations 3:22-23<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83c\udf1fWe\u2019ve been given a brand-new year, full of possibilities.<br>\ud83c\udf1fNew potential to pursue what God has placed on our hearts.<br>\ud83c\udf1fA clean slate to prove to ourselves and others that we are finishers \u2013 not quitters.<br>\ud83c\udf1fFresh willpower to overcome obstacles.<br>\ud83c\udf1fA renewed desire to trust God, whether the sun is shining or the rain is pouring.<br>\ud83c\udf1fNew goals to break old habits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s time to step forward with fresh expectations and eyes wide open to the blessings and adventures ahead. This year isn\u2019t just about making resolutions \u2013 it\u2019s about writing new stories that shape a legacy of faith, courage, and hope for those coming after us.
