If you\u2019ve ever been cornered by a two or three-year-old, you know exactly how it goes\u2014an avalanche of questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhy is the sky blue?\u201d
\u201cWhat\u2019s inside my bellybutton?\u201d
\u201cCan I have cake for breakfast?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
First, it\u2019s adorable. By the 57th \u201cWhy?\u201d You\u2019re eyeing the nearest exit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Now imagine how many questions God fields from us every day.
\u201cWhy, God?\u201d
\u201cWhen will it happen?\u201d
\u201cHow can I make this work?\u201d
\u201cWhere are You?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And yet, like the patient and loving Father He is, God listens. He doesn\u2019t roll His eyes or sneak off to the pantry for a moment of quiet. Even when His answers don\u2019t come wrapped in the timelines we prefer, He stays close, reminding us He\u2019s got this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But let\u2019s not forget\u2014God asks questions too. Not because He\u2019s stumped or needs more information, but because His questions lead us somewhere deeper. They invite us to reflect, repent, and realign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Remember Adam? After that little incident with the forbidden fruit, God asked, \u201cWhere are you?\u201d (Genesis 3:9). God already knew Adam\u2019s GPS coordinates, but He wanted Adam to consider where his heart had wandered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jesus continued this pattern, cutting straight to the core with His questions:
\u201cDo you believe?\u201d (Matthew 21:22). When people came for healing, Jesus often flipped the script back to their faith. Sometimes the mountain we\u2019re trying to move needs a little push from belief.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDo you want to get well?\u201d (John 5:6). It sounds obvious, but maybe we\u2019ve grown too comfortable in our mess. Healing requires movement\u2014and sometimes, that\u2019s the hardest step.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhy are you afraid?\u201d (Matthew 8:26). The disciples were panicking, but Jesus was right there in the boat. Isn\u2019t He in ours too?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhy did you doubt?\u201d (Matthew 14:31). Peter sank, but Jesus didn\u2019t let him go under. Our doubts may surface, but God\u2019s hand never slips.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Just like those persistent little ones, we keep asking. And God, in His goodness, keeps answering\u2014sometimes with silence, sometimes with peace, and always with love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
