I love encouraging women about their place in God\u2019s great scheme of things. The Bible speaks of older women training the younger women \u2013 and that\u2019s not only in age but in spirit. I\u2019m here, Girls, to show you \u2013 you do survive!!! How\u2019s that for encouragement to your world today?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I love our Wednesday nights\u2019 Women\u2019s Bible Study at my church. I think I might be one of the oldest women there. They call me \u201cMama Donna\u201d and often ask me to pray for them. I\u2019m okay with it. After all \u2013 I\u2019ve been where the younger mamas are, and I love being able to show them the joys of every season of life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I am, after all, a Mama that went through juggling activities, working a full-time job, handling childhood illnesses, falls, breaks, hearts broken, hearts mended, car accidents, helping with homework, school sports, school activities, being a chauffeur, a caregiver, being a best friend, a mom and a grandmom (in my case, a Nana).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I applaud the Christian women of today who are so deliberate with your intentions of ensuring that your kids have a firm foundation of faith, family values, and strong character. It speaks volumes about the love you have for them, as well as how much you are cultivating their gifts and talents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I promise you it is worth every effort, large and small, that you invest into their lives \u2013 from the quick prayer as they rush out the door, to the encouraging word that says, \u201cYou are a champion!\u201d, to the daunting task of being at ALL their school activities, sports events and drama productions, and so much more!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Each effort has merit. Maybe it\u2019s not a quick process, but you\u2019ll start to see those darlings of yours bloom into the Godly, loving, caring and giving individuals you hoped they\u2019d become as you model the love of Christ to them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We\u2019re almost to the end of this month of love and I want you to know how much I love you and let you know how absolutely amazing you are. You are the launch pad for those \u201crockets\u201d; you are the rudder of the ship that keeps them on course, and the guiding light that makes their pathway straight and bright.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And the same is true for those who God calls to “mother” those who need encouragement, support and cheerleading. We are called to be encouragers…..PERIOD. 1 Thessalonians 5:7 says: “Encourage one another and build up each other.” Let\u2019s start encouraging right NOW! Today!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Oh, and by the way \u2013 this all holds true to the men out there! Go ahead — encourage and \u201cfather\u201d those in your sphere of influence, too!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
