Last Wednesday night, my husband’s beloved Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas, had quite the explosion on campus that set off fires and power outages leading school officials to issue evacuation orders for several buildings and cancel classes for the rest of the week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Texas Tech University was rocked by an explosion, fire, green smoke coming from a manhole, destruction, darkness — one moment, life was normal; the next, chaos. Students evacuated, buildings shut down, and the reality set in: things can change in an instant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It got me thinking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We live as though we have all the time in the world. We make plans, set goals, chase dreams, and assume tomorrow is guaranteed. But what if it\u2019s not? What if, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, everything changed?<\/p>\n\n\n

The Bible warns us: \u201cIt is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment.\u201d (Hebrews 9:27) Some believe that when life is over, it\u2019s just over. No afterlife. No eternity. No reckoning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oh, contraire!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For those in Christ, the end of this life is just the beginning — an eternity with our Savior, free from pain, fear, and darkness. No flames. No destruction. No power outages. Just light, joy, and everlasting peace in His presence. But for those who reject Him? There\u2019s another fire. One that doesn\u2019t flicker out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I say this not to scare, but to wake up those who\u2019ve put off deciding about Jesus. The Bible makes it clear: \u201cEvery knee will bow, and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord\u201d (Philippians 2:10-11). The question isn\u2019t if — it\u2019s when.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some live by the motto, \u201cMight as well enjoy every bit of life now, because when it\u2019s over, it\u2019s over.\u201d But that\u2019s a dangerous gamble. Because eternity is real. Heaven is real. Hell is real. And our choices today determine our forever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, I ask you, my beloved family and friends\u2014what are you waiting for? Jesus isn\u2019t a myth. He\u2019s the King of Kings, the soon-coming Redeemer. His invitation is open, but one day, the door will close.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Don\u2019t wait until the fire falls. Choose Christ now. While there is still time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because when that moment comes — when that twinkling of an eye arrives — I want to see you standing with me, rejoicing in His glorious presence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No regrets. No fear. Just eternity with the One who loves you most.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
