It\u2019s called Spy Wednesday for a reason.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This was the day Judas Iscariot \u2014 one of the twelve, a disciple handpicked by Jesus \u2014 made a secret deal with the chief priests. Thirty silver coins. The price of a slave. The weight of betrayal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Last Sunday night, we saw \u201cThe Chosen \u2014 Season 5, Episode 3\u201d \u2014 and the moment Judas took that pouch of coins, knowing it meant the Lord\u2019s arrest and eventual death. It nearly broke my heart. How could he? How could anyone betray that Man \u2014 the One who had loved him, taught him, forgave him, and welcomed him at the table?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The scene left a lump in my throat. It wasn\u2019t just historical betrayal; it was personal. Because we\u2019ve all had our Judas moments. And Jesus still loves and forgives us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Spy Wednesday reminds us that sometimes the deepest wounds come from those closest to us. Jesus, in His divinity, knew. He wasn’t surprised. And yet, He didn\u2019t expose Judas in front of the others. He didn\u2019t lash out. He didn\u2019t stop loving.
That\u2019s what perfect love looks like.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jesus still washed Judas\u2019 feet. Still broke bread with him. Still called him \u201cfriend\u201d \u2014 even as the shadows closed in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Maybe you know betrayal, too. Maybe someone you trusted let you down. Maybe you\u2019ve let yourself down. But hear this: Wednesday is not the end of the story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The enemy thought he was gaining ground that day \u2014 but the cross was always part of the plan. What was meant for evil, God would turn for our eternal good.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The same Jesus who was sold out would soon rise up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So yes, Spy Wednesday is heavy. But it’s also holy. It’s a reminder that no betrayal is beyond redemption. No pain is outside God\u2019s reach. And no shadow can dim the light of the risen Son.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hope springs eternal \u2014 because Jesus chose the cross, knowing it would lead us home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
