He was nailed to a cross — spikes through flesh — and hung between two criminals like He was one of them.
And yet… we call it Good Friday.
Why?

Because in that unbearable moment of pain and injustice, Jesus was carrying out the greatest act of love the world has ever known. He bore our sin. He took our place. He opened the door of heaven for all who would believe.

We call it good because He called it finished.
Not “I am finished,” but “It is finished.” The debt was paid. He’s been there. And He didn’t just carry His Cross — He carried you. That’s the kind of Savior we celebrate. And while Friday held a cross — Sunday holds a resurrection.
