This past Monday, Carl and I, and seven other dear friends joined us at our table, along with 800 others, gathered to witness Texas Governor Greg Abbott lead a beautiful Day of Prayer for our nation, state, communities, and leaders. With conviction, he praised the power of prayer, reminding us, \u201cWhere two or more are gathered in His name, God is with us.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Governor Abbott shared how even his greatest trial \u2014 living life in a wheelchair \u2014 became part of his destiny, opening hearts and doors he never imagined. He challenged us to remember that prayer isn\u2019t our last resort \u2014 it\u2019s our first response.<\/p>\n\n\n

The keynote speaker, Dr. Robert Jeffress, the senior pastor of the 14,000-membr First Baptist Church in Dallas, TX, delivered a clarion call to action: we must be prayer warriors. Not passive, not sporadic \u2014 but committed, believing warriors who take God’s promises seriously.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Because prayer changes things. It softens hearts, breaks chains, heals hurts, and ushers in hope. Our politics, our nation\u2019s soul, our fractured communities \u2014 they won\u2019t be healed by might or strategy alone, but by the hand of God, moved through the prayers of His people.<\/p>\n\n\n

God Himself gives us the blueprint in 2 Chronicles 7:14:
“If My people, which are called by My name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Seriously \u2013 it\u2019s time to move from simply quoting that verse to living it out loud. With bent knees, broken pride, and bold faith, let’s stand in the gap for our families, our leaders, and this nation we love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Nothing \u2014 absolutely nothing \u2014 is impossible with God.
Let\u2019s pray, let\u2019s believe, and let\u2019s expect heaven\u2019s healing hand to move across our land.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
