I want to follow God\u2019s will. Really, I do. But sometimes it feels like trying to read a road map in a thunderstorm — blurry and full of detours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Here\u2019s the good news: God\u2019s will isn\u2019t a secret code we have to crack. He\u2019s already told us the big-picture plan: “Love the Lord with all your heart, soul, mind, strength AND love others like we love ourselves!” Mark 12:30-31<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Simple, right? Until we run into people. The cranky cashier. The grumpy neighbor. The sibling who knows all the wrong buttons to push. Loving God is easy — He\u2019s perfect. Loving people? That\u2019s where the training wheels come off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But still, loving others is part of walking in His will. Daily, we get to choose — my way or His high way. Left to my own devices, I\u2019d make a mess of things. Thank God He keeps me on a short leash — and close to His heart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Years ago, I made plans to sell my home in Frisco, TX and move into an aparment community nearby. It felt like the right decision. I even gave them a deposit for my new little piece-of-heaven!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But then — bam! I hit a spiritual intersection. My son had other plans for me! \u201cMom, please move to Austin.\u201d And just like that, I knew. I\u2019d taken the first step, and God showed me the next.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That one decision changed everything. Austin became home. I found purpose, peace, community — and Carl. Almost two years into marriage, and I still marvel at how God\u2019s will unfolded through obedience and one little yes at a time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So here\u2019s the truth: God’s will isn\u2019t always a lightning bolt. It\u2019s more like headlights on a dark road — showing just enough for the next turn. But if we keep loving God, loving people, and stepping forward, He promises to lead us to places and people — for our good!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTrust in the Lord with all your heart\u2026 and He will make your paths straight.\u201d (Proverbs 3:5-6)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Lord, help us navigate our lives on your HIGH way! Shortcuts — not necessary!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
