You have Answers."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>I had planned to write something lighthearted today. Something about wallpaper and laughter and a mama still managing a glue brush. But I just can\u2019t. Not yet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not while there are Texas families still waiting. Still grieving. Still aching from floodwaters that stole more than homes \u2014 they stole lives, joy, and certainty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We may never fully understand why some are taken too soon or why suffering shows up in places meant for joy \u2014 like a summer camp full of laughter and light.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last night, as I sat down to write this blog, I felt an unrest I couldn\u2019t shake. A holy heaviness. I felt the ache of those parents, siblings, friends &#8212; waiting for updates, holding on to pictures and prayers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lord, it doesn\u2019t make sense. But I know that You are still God, and you welcome every tear, every question, every \u201cWhy, God, why?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And You\u2019re not offended by our brokenness \u2014 You meet us in it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The psalmist wrote:<br>\u201cMy soul is in deep anguish. How long, Lord, how long?\u201d (Psalm 6:3)<br>And yet, in that same breath, he declared: \u201cBut I trust in Your unfailing love.\u201d Psalm 13:5<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So I won\u2019t silence the questions.<br>I bring them \u2014 all of them \u2014 to the only One big enough to hold them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To every family standing in the ashes of unthinkable loss:<br>We mourn with you.<br>We are praying for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Heal us, Lord.<br>Help us make sense of what makes no sense.<br>Hold our hearts and do what You do so well \u2014 comfort, restore, and bring beauty out of pain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To the grieving, waiting, praying families \u2014 we are with you. We are lifting you to God Who heals the brokenhearted and holds every tear.<br>And, through it all \u2013 may our hearts be filled with YOUR ways that are so much higher than our ways. Surely, there will be stories written, songs sung, and hearts full of peace that passes all understanding!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, let\u2019s not silence the questions. Let\u2019s bring them to the only One big enough to hold them. It\u2019s okay to keep asking the hard questions &#8212; with faith that one day, we\u2019ll see the whole story through God\u2019s eyes and heaven\u2019s lens.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I had planned to write something lighthearted today.
