When life gets confusing, we rattle off the usual suspects: When? Where? How? Why? Sound familiar? We pace, we pray, we peek under every emotional rock trying to find the answers. But maybe the answer isn\u2019t a thing at all. Maybe it\u2019s a Who.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cStop looking for the answers — start looking for the Giver.\u201d Those words hit me like a spiritual two-by-four (the gentle kind).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Because when we lean into the Giver — our faithful, loving God — we get more than answers. We gain peace in the waiting, strength in the not-knowing, and joy right smack in the middle of the mystery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Remember as kids how laser-focused we were on Santa? If we just get close enough to whisper our wish list, we believed he\u2019d deliver the goods. Well, spoiler alert: Santa\u2019s lap is seasonal, but God’s lap is eternal — and far more generous.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Here\u2019s the truth: God isn\u2019t a vending machine or some divine jackpot. He\u2019s the Giver of every good and perfect gift (James 1:17) because He loves us. It is not because we insert the right prayer or behavior.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Let\u2019s remember His Word about our seeking. It says:
\u201cSeek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.\u201d \u2013 Matthew 6:33<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTrust in the Lord with all your heart. Do not lean on your own understanding. He will direct your paths.\u201d \u2013 Proverbs 3:5\u20136<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The pattern? Seek Him. Trust Him. Find Him.
And when we find Him — we get the Giver and the gifts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He gives peace that passes understanding. He provides joy that can\u2019t be shaken. He offers comfort that doesn\u2019t run dry. He shows love that doesn\u2019t flinch at our flaws.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Don\u2019t worry, you\u2019re not asking for too much. In fact, you may be asking for too little. Ask big but seek deeper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When we seek Him with our whole hearts, He\u2019s already there. He is smiling with arms wide open. No lap appointment is needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Stop chasing for answers. Run to the Giver. His presence is the greatest gift of all. And His peace that\u2019s wrapped in His great love for us \u2013 is the treasure that passes all understanding!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
