Some days it feels like the world\u2019s in a full-blown hurricane — political unrest, wars of words and weapons, literal floods and rising tides, not to mention our personal storms swirling in the background.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But here\u2019s the truth I\u2019ve lived and learned: there is a calm in the chaos. It\u2019s not always outside of us, but it can be in us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That\u2019s what the \u201ceye of the storm\u201d is. A still, quiet space in the middle of the madness. And I\u2019ve been there — not just through life\u2019s thunderstorms, but through the spiritual kind that left me drenched and drained. And you know what? Even there, especially there, I\u2019ve found peace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
God\u2019s peace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Better yet, I\u2019ve discovered this wild and wonderful truth:. You and I can be that peace for someone else. We can be the calm. The comfort. The soft voice of assurance. Not because we have it all together, but because we\u2019re anchored in the One who does.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jesus said it like this: \u201cLove the Lord your God — and love your neighbor as yourself.\u201d (Matthew 22:37\u201339) loving others sometimes means being a safe harbor when their ship is about to sink.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The more time we spend with God — reading His Word, talking with Him, letting Him shape our hearts — the more we carry His peace into places where panic once ruled. Our presence alone, filled with His presence, can shift an atmosphere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jesus said in John 14:27, \u201cI\u2019m leaving you peace. I\u2019m giving you my peace. So don\u2019t let your hearts be troubled, and don\u2019t be afraid.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So today, dear ones, whether you’re weathering the storm or walking with someone else through theirs — may you know His peace, and become His peace. May you not only stand firm in the storm but invite others into the calm of Christ within you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
