I\u2019m still basking in the glow of all the birthday love \u2014 thank you, dear family and friends, for making me feel so celebrated! But today I\u2019m carrying that gratitude forward with a reminder that lifts my heart every time I see it: \u201cThere will be miracles.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I bought that sign years ago. It still makes me smile. Because it\u2019s true. Miracles aren\u2019t a \u201cmaybe.\u201d They\u2019re a certainty. Sometimes we think of miracles only as the big, jaw-dropping kind \u2014 seas parting, mountains moving, healings happening instantly. And yes, God absolutely does those! But sometimes the miracles are smaller, quieter, and easier to overlook.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Miracles look like\u2026
\u2022 Taking a deep breath and realizing, I\u2019m still here.
\u2022 Watching the sunrise paint the sky and remembering, God is still in control.
\u2022 A phone call from a friend at just the right time.
\u2022 Laughter that bubbles up in the middle of tears.
\u2022 And the greatest miracle of all \u2014 a heart made new, set free by God\u2019s amazing grace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So yes, I believe there will be miracles \u2014 because I believe in the Miracle Worker. Jesus said in John 14:12, \u201cWhoever believes in Me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these.\u201d Greater things! That means our story isn\u2019t finished yet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I may not be Wonder Woman, but I can be a faith-filled woman who expects God to show up for me every day! Please forgive this rant \u2013 but thinking about my President, at age 79, who wakes up each day for our Country and you and me, I think I can wake up with zeal and determination, too!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It\u2019s just a couple of days after my birthday and I\u2019m still in the celebration mode! And, as my young-whipper-snapper-self, I\u2019m not ready to quit either.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I am inspired to keep swinging. I am far from running our Country, but I can keep running my race with hope and joy. I may not control the future, but I can trust the One who already holds it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So, let\u2019s live today with eyes wide open \u2014 looking for miracles, big and small. Because if we\u2019re breathing, if we\u2019re loving, if we\u2019re believing \u2014 we are those miracles!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
