At the very beginning of time, God SPOKE creation into existence! He literally spoke life. Not only that, He said that what He had spoken into existence was good and made well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Does that speak as loudly to anyone else as it does to me? This means that our words matter. We are created in God\u2019s image, the One who speaks life!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Proverbs 18:21 tells us that our \u201cwords are so powerful that they will kill or give life.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
People will always have opinions — sometimes kind, sometimes not-so-kind, and sometimes so far from the truth we wonder if they\u2019ve confused us with someone else entirely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But here\u2019s the good news: while we can\u2019t control who talks about us, we can absolutely choose who we allow to speak into our lives. And that choice makes all the difference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Voices are everywhere. Some cheer us on. Some drag us down. Some leave us scratching our heads. But there is one voice that never wavers, never confuses, never condemns — and that is the voice of God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When we root our identity in who God says we are, we gain something the world can\u2019t touch — and that’s stability! \u201cSee what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!” (1 John 3:1)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And that is who we are. That\u2019s not just a title. That\u2019s our identity — beloved, chosen, redeemed!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Imagine walking into a room where everyone\u2019s talking at once. It\u2019s loud, confusing, chaotic. But then, in the middle of the noise, you hear the familiar voice of someone you love. You tune in, and suddenly the noise fades. That\u2019s what it\u2019s like to let God\u2019s Word be the voice that speaks into our lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It doesn\u2019t mean we ignore wise counsel or loving correction, but if it doesn\u2019t line up with who God says we are — fearfully and wonderfully made, forgiven, beloved — then we don\u2019t let it take root.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So let\u2019s choose wisely. Let\u2019s quiet the critics, silence the lies, and lean into the voice of the Shepherd. Because when He speaks, He speaks life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMy sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.\u201d (John 10:27)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We can\u2019t control who talks about us, but we can choose who speaks into us. Tune in to God\u2019s voice — it\u2019s steady, loving, and true.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
