Call me slow on the uptake, but after all these years, I just realized something: September, October, November, and December all end with \u201cber.\u201d Who knew? Well, apparently everyone but me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But here\u2019s the thing — I\u2019ve decided to celebrate my discovery. Why? Because it reminded me that life is full of little \u201caha\u201d moments waiting to be noticed. God seems to tuck them into the corners of ordinary days, hoping we\u2019ll pause long enough to smile and say, \u201cWell, would you look at that?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Think about it. Our Creator designed sunsets that never look the same twice, snowflakes with no duplicates, and four whole months that sing the same \u201cber\u201d refrain at the year\u2019s grand finale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Maybe He knew we\u2019d need a reminder to wonder, to anticipate, and to discover new things — even when we think we\u2019ve seen it all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Wonder has a way of keeping us young. Kids are experts at it. They\u2019ll stop and stare at a bug on the sidewalk or laugh for ten minutes over a silly sound.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Somewhere along the way, many of us traded in our sense of wonder for \u201cbeing sensible.\u201d But Jesus said, \u201cUnless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.\u201d (Matthew 18:3)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So here\u2019s my \u201cber month\u201d resolution: to live with a childlike sense of awe. To notice the subtle, silly, sacred surprises God drops into my path. To laugh when I discover something new, even if I\u2019m decades late to the party.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Every day is a gift, wrapped in wonder. And whether it\u2019s the changing colors of leaves, a hummingbird pausing mid-flight, or simply a little \u201cber\u201d tucked into the calendar, God is whispering: Don\u2019t stop being amazed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
