What\u2019s that all about, Donna? Oh, it\u2019s not the Grand Ole Opry \u2014 though yes, we do have tickets for its 100th Anniversary! Yee haw!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And it\u2019s not about taking a scenic drive through the Great Smoky Mountains (though I wouldn\u2019t mind a stop for some southern barbecue along the way). No, this trip is about something far more heart-stirring than twangy tunes and Tennessee trails.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My one and only granddaughter \u2014 the rose among five grandsons \u2014 Alexia Gabrielle Wallace, is getting married! She\u2019ll be saying \u201cI do\u201d to the love of her life, Winston Rose, this Thursday, October 16th.<\/p>\n\n\n

I\u2019m as giddy as a schoolgirl, ready to witness this knot-tying that I pray will be a forever love, rooted deep in faith and watered daily by grace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of course I’m being nostalgic. Add teary-eyed to that. I just sent a text message to Alexia Wallace. “I can’t wait to see my beautiful granddaughter coming down that aisle. Yes, I’ll be tearing up because I remember Papa and me teaching you to walk while your mom and dad were out of town. They came through our back door to pick you and Payton up. And there came Alexia — with her little hands in the air — walking to your mom and dad. Skip to your wedding day and you’ll be holding onto your daddy as he gives you to wonderful Winston.” More tear to come!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alexia met Winston while attending the Legacy School of Ministry in Nashville. During her first year there, she didn\u2019t just earn a certificate \u2014 she earned a deeper walk with God. She learned to live holistically healthy, holy unto the Lord, humble, honorable, and hungry for Kingdom work. And in that sacred atmosphere, surrounded by God\u2019s people, she experienced His presence in powerful ways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When her first year ended, Alexia prayed about what came next. God\u2019s whisper was clear: Stay a little longer. So she did \u2014 serving others, mentoring new students, and saying yes to more growth and outreach. And wouldn\u2019t you know it \u2014 while walking faithfully in God\u2019s will, she crossed paths with the man who would one day win her heart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Winston didn\u2019t just show up with charm; he showed up with honor. He drove all the way from Nashville to Epiphany Ranch in East Texas and, with old-fashioned respect, asked her parents, \u201cMay I have the honor of dating your daughter?\u201d Be still my heart \u2014 chivalry lives!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, here we come, Nashville \u2014 ready to celebrate love, faith, and the God who still writes the most beautiful love stories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
