We said our goodbyes to family yesterday morning \u2014 hearts full and feet still sore from all the celebrating! What a most blessed, beautiful, and treasured time we had rejoicing over my granddaughter Alexia and her now-husband Winston\u2019s wedding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every detail reflected their hearts \u2014 their love for each other, for family, for fun, and most of all, for Jesus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ceremony was divine. The pastor\u2019s words about commitment and love touched every heart \u2014 so much so that I think some of us seasoned couples quietly renewed our vows right there in our seats!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then came a moment that moved us all \u2014 Alexia and Winston taking Holy Communion together, putting Christ at the center of their marriage. What a testimony of faith and foundation!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And then\u2026 came the celebration! \ud83c\udf89<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First stop after the \u201cI dos\u201d? S\u2019mores! Yes, you read that right. Guests roasted marshmallows under the Tennessee stars \u2014 laughing, talking, and savoring every gooey bite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inside the venue, it was a dessert-lover\u2019s dream: donuts, brownies, cookies, chocolate-dipped pretzels, and of course, Chuy\u2019s Mexican food \u2014 the newlyweds\u2019 absolute favorite. No fancy filet or frou-frou food here \u2014 just good, joyful, down-home happy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then came the dancing! The young crowd hit the floor \u2014 and Carl and I weren\u2019t about to be left behind. Let\u2019s just say we \u201cstepped it up,\u201d twirling and laughing right alongside them. (Pretty sure we impressed a few twenty-somethings \u2014 or at least gave them something to talk about!)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the evening closed, I looked around at faces glowing with joy and gratitude. God\u2019s presence was everywhere \u2014 in the music, in the laughter, in the sweetness of fellowship. Weddings remind us of what matters most: faith, family, and the simple joy of celebrating love \u2014 the kind that comes straight from the heart of God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, with hearts full and smiles wide, we say: \u201cFrom this day forward\u201d \u2014 may love keep on dancing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
