I\u2019ve often wondered what my life would look like if I could peek inside God\u2019s workshop. I picture shelves lined with tools \u2014 some shiny, some worn \u2014 each one uniquely shaped for His purpose. And right there on the bench? A little name tag that says \u201cDonna\u2019s Tools.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The truth is, every one of us is a work in progress, and God uses all sorts of tools to shape us. Some days, it\u2019s the gentle sandpaper of grace \u2014 smoothing out rough edges and softening hard hearts. Other days, it feels more like the hammer \u2014 loud, jarring, and not particularly comfortable!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If we\u2019re honest, most of us would rather skip the hammer altogether. I\u2019ve even prayed, \u201cLord, I appreciate how You\u2019re refining me\u2026 but could You please reach for the smoother today?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But here\u2019s the thing: the Master Carpenter knows exactly which tool is needed for the moment. The hammer strengthens what\u2019s weak. The chisel removes what doesn\u2019t belong. The sandpaper polishes what\u2019s already beautiful. And when we yield to His touch, He transforms the raw wood of our lives into something strong, useful, and radiant with His character.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When I think back over my life, I can see His fingerprints everywhere \u2014 in the lessons, the heartbreaks, the laughter, and the grace that held me together. Each circumstance was a divine tool, shaping me not into perfection, but into purpose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So, whatever tool God is using in your life right now \u2014 don\u2019t resist it. He\u2019s not trying to break you down; He\u2019s building you up. You\u2019re His masterpiece in the making.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As Isaiah 64:8 reminds us: \u201cWe are the clay, and You are our potter; we are all the work of Your hand.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Let\u2019s trust the Carpenter. He\u2019s never once dropped a project \u2014 and you, my friend, are one of His finest works-in-progress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
