These two magnets \u2014 each gently reminding us to \u201cKeep Christ in Christmas\u201d \u2014 were gifts from dear friends. They now hold a place of honor on our refrigerator, where we see them every single day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And I absolutely love our friends’ hearts \u2014 because they\u2019re right. With all the glitter, garland, goodies, and good intentions, it\u2019s far too easy to forget WHO the Star of the show really is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But let\u2019s be honest — Jesus doesn\u2019t just want a cameo appearance in December.

He isn\u2019t a seasonal decoration we pull out once a year, dust off, and place center stage until New Year\u2019s Day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He is our every day Savior.
Our every moment Redeemer.
Our always King.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yes, the Christmas story began with an angel showing up in Nazareth with an announcement that turned Mary\u2019s world upside down and Joseph\u2019s upside right \u2014 \u201cYou will bring a Savior into the world.\u201d And in Bethlehem, heaven kissed earth in the form of a newborn King.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But the story didn\u2019t stop in a manger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In just a few months, we\u2019ll be celebrating Resurrection Sunday \u2014 proof that the baby in the manger didn\u2019t stay a baby. He became our Redeemer, our Burden Bearer, our Sin Forgiver, our Second Chance Giver, and our soon coming King.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So yes \u2014 let\u2019s keep Christ in Christmas. But let\u2019s also keep Him in:
\u2022 our homes
\u2022 our hearts
\u2022 our conversations
\u2022 our decisions
\u2022 our comings and goings
\u2022 our moments of joy
\u2022 our moments of meltdown<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every second of every day, He is the Welcomed Guest \u2014 the One who turns our chaos into calm, our worry into worship, and our ordinary days into holy ground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He understands us because He became one of us. He sees us, knows us, carries us, comforts us \u2014 because He walked this earth, felt our pain, faced our temptations, and still promises:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI will never leave you nor forsake you.\u201d (Hebrew 13:5-6)
That\u2019s not seasonal.
That\u2019s eternal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So when I look at those refrigerator magnets, I smile — because they remind me of the greatest truth we get to hold onto this season: We keep Christ in Christmas \u2014 because Christ keeps us every moment, every day, every heartbeat!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
