We\u2019re already into February. Blink twice and — poof — it\u2019ll be 2027. Time flies. The real question is this: How will we look at what\u2019s ahead — through fear or faith?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Fear has a sneaky habit. It buries the gifts God intended us to use. It whispers you can\u2019t do that and calls it wisdom. Faith, on the other hand, rolls up its sleeves and says, “Let\u2019s see what God can do!”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Remember the scouts Moses sent into the Promised Land? Ten returned with trembling voices: \u201cWe can\u2019t do this. They\u2019re stronger than we are.\u201d (Numbers 13:31). Two optimistic souls — Joshua and Caleb — saw the same Promised Land and said, \u201cWe can certainly do it.\u201d Same giants. Same terrain. But, different lenses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Here\u2019s a truth worth taping to our refrigerator — people who always say, \u201cI can\u2019t\u201d and people who always say, \u201cI can\u201d are often both right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Fear has a way of fulfilling its own gloomy predictions. Job even admitted it: \u201cWhat I feared has come upon me.\u201d (Job 3:25)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A fear-based vision shrinks possibilities. It misses chances. It wastes talent. It turns us into grasshoppers in our own eyes and sometimes we convince others to see us that way, too. That\u2019s the trouble with fear — it\u2019s contagious.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But faith? Faith sees milk and honey where fear sees only obstacles. Faith looks at giants and remembers God\u2019s track record. Joshua and Caleb didn\u2019t deny the giants — they simply trusted God more than their worries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That\u2019s the crowd I want to run with — the in-it-to-win-it believers who know this unshakable truth: \u201cNothing is impossible with God.\u201d (Luke 1:37)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So let\u2019s not underestimate what God can do through willing hearts. If He\u2019s called us to it, He\u2019ll carry us through it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I\u2019m choosing His team. Faith over fear. How about you?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
