Praise &#8212; a weapon?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When life feels like a battle, my first instinct isn\u2019t to sing &#8212; it\u2019s to stress and whine. To fix. To figure it out. Maybe even to complain just a little (or a lot).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But Psalms 8:2 flips that thinking upside down.<br>\u201cThrough praise &#8212; you have established a stronghold against your enemies.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Praise doesn\u2019t just sound good &#8212; it does good. It silences the enemy. It strengthens the weary. It shifts the atmosphere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And here\u2019s the part that gets me:<br>Praise works best when it makes the least sense.<br>When the bills are stacked.<br>When the diagnosis isn\u2019t good.<br>When the prayer hasn\u2019t been answered yet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That\u2019s when praise becomes powerful.<br>Not because everything changed &#8212; but because we did.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Praise is faith with a voice. It says, \u201cGod, I don\u2019t see it yet\u2026<br>but I trust You anyway.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Remember King Jehoshaphat? Surrounded by enemies, he didn\u2019t send out the strongest soldiers first &#8212; he sent the singers. And as they praised, God fought the battle for them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Or Paul and Silas &#8212; locked in prison, chains on their wrists &#8212; and what did they do? They sang. And suddenly &#8212; chains fell off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That\u2019ll make us want to hum a hymn in a hurry.<br>Praise isn\u2019t denial. It\u2019s declaration.<br>It declares that God is bigger than what we\u2019re facing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It invites His presence right into the middle of our mess.<br>It reminds our hearts where our help comes from.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And yes &#8212; sometimes it\u2019s a sacrifice.<br>Because we may not feel like praising.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But that\u2019s when it matters most.<br>So today, if we\u2019re in a battle &#8212; big or small &#8212; before we worry &#8212; before we wrestle &#8212; let&#8217;s try this::<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Whisper a thank You<br>Lift a song.<br>Speak His name.<br>Because praise doesn\u2019t just change our situations &#8212; it changes us!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And that, my friends, is a weapon worth using!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>#praiseandworship #SacrificeOfPraise #praiseisourweapon<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It sounds a little strange, doesn\u2019t it?
