Best day EVER. Sticky fingers, laughter, and the kind of joy only a promise kept can bring.

As we grew, promises got a little more serious.
We crossed our hearts. We locked pinkies. We whispered: “I promise,” like it was the strongest contract on earth.

And then came adulthood — where promises wore rings.
Wedding vows. Lifelong commitments. Words spoken with hope, love, and intention.

Promises given. Promises kept. But if we’re honest — not every promise holds. People forget. Circumstances change. Life happens.

Which is why God’s promises feel so different.
They don’t shift.
They don’t expire.
They don’t depend on moods or moments. They stand.

Take Noah. God asked him to build something that had never been built — for rain that had never fallen. And Noah trusted Him. When the waters rose and the storm passed, God made a covenant — a forever promise.

And He painted it across the sky. A rainbow. Not just a pretty arc of color, but a divine reminder: I keep My word.
And He still does.

The same God who placed that rainbow in the sky offers a promise even greater to us — salvation, hope, and eternal life through Jesus.

No fine print. No crossed fingers behind His back. No broken vows.
Just truth. Faithful and sure.

So when life feels uncertain — when promises around us fall short – – let’s look up. That rainbow still speaks.

And so does the cross. God is a promise keeper. Promises made. Promises kept. And His greatest promise? An eternity with Him. Won’t you draw near to Him and ask Him to be your Savior and Lord — from here to eternity?

“The Lord always keeps His promises; He is gracious in all He does”.

“Promise me…” Those two little words carried big meaning, even as a child.
