An early \u201cgood morning\u201d to our dear friends and family. Yesterday, at noon \u2013 Austin time, we flew to Dallas\/Fort Worth for our flight across the ocean!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Since we\u2019re six hours ahead of Austin\u2019s time \u2013 we arrived at 8:30 a.m. in London’s Heathrow Airport! What a dream come true for us!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Yes, this is a whole new experience for us! First stop after deboarding — we picked up our luggage. Then it was “game-on”. We decided to do what the locals do — we took the Heathrow Express (train) to Paddington Station and then took a taxi to our Royal Horseguards Hotel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Oh my goodness! We stepped into London \u2013 all new for us — new streets, new sounds, a different rhythm of life. The gentle hum of the city, the roll of the Thames, the history written in stone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It all feels so grand with so much grandeur! But what comforts us most? The same God who walks with us back home in Texas is already here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIf I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there Your hand will guide me\u2026\u201d (Psalm 139:9-10)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Even here. Even now. There\u2019s something sacred about seeing the world and realizing — God was here first. Before our plane touched down, before our feet hit the pavement, before we ever said, \u201cWe made it\u201d — He was already waiting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And oh, what a gift to explore His creation.
We\u2019ll walk where kings and commoners have walked. We\u2019ll hear accents that make us smile and maybe pause to figure out what was just said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We\u2019ll sip tea, snap photos, and probably take a wrong turn or two (because let\u2019s be honest\u2026 we will). But in every step, we want to remember this isn\u2019t just a trip — it\u2019s a testimony.
A testimony that life still moves forward.
A testimony that joy still shows up.
A testimony that God\u2019s goodness stretches far beyond our zip code.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So today, here we are in London!
Not just to see the sights — but to see our Savior in every detail.
In the beauty.
In the moments.
In the quiet pauses between the busy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And if we get a little lost along the way? That\u2019s alright.
God was in London before we arrived — and He\u2019ll be in every step we take.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
