On our final day in London, before we make our way to board the beautiful MS Nieuw Statendam (and yes\u2026 ships set sail<\/em>, not take off\u2014we\u2019re learning!), Carl and I did something we had been looking forward to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We took a tour of our hotel\u2014The Royal Horseguards Hotel. Oh my\u2026 what a place.

Perfectly positioned along the River Thames, we could walk to so many iconic sights\u2014the London Eye, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace, and even catch a glimpse of Big Ben standing tall in the distance. We truly felt like we were right in the heartbeat of London.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But what we didn\u2019t expect\u2026 was what happened next.

Our guide, a kind and gentle man named Stamatios, began walking us through the rich history\u2014marble staircases, portraits of royalty, stories of leaders and legends. This building dates back to 1884, once luxury apartments, later becoming headquarters for intelligence agencies like MI5 and MI6, even holding secret tunnels used during World War II.

Fascinating? Absolutely. But then\u2026 something even more meaningful happened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He paused\u2026 looked at me\u2026 and said, \u201cAre you Christians? I see your cross.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And just like that, the tour became something holy.

He shared about his illness\u2014the long road, the uncertainty\u2014and asked if we would pray for him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oh Donna\u2026 right there\u2026 in a place where history was made\u2026 God made a moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We didn\u2019t hesitate.

We prayed right there in that grand, historic space. Not rushed. Not quiet. Just real. Asking our Great Physician to touch his body, to bring healing, to bring peace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In that moment, it didn\u2019t matter who had walked those halls before us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What mattered\u2026 was that God had walked us right to him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We exchanged cards, hugged like old friends, and went on our way\u2014but not unchanged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because sometimes the greatest part of a trip isn\u2019t the places you see\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2026it\u2019s the people God places right in front of you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And I can tell you this\u2014
That moment?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
