When we were in Cork, Ireland, Carl and I were reminded how precious it is simply to be alive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Three months ago, Carl underwent emergency surgery to receive a pacemaker. It was a sobering moment for both of us. But thanks to God\u2019s mercy and skilled doctors, he was restored and stronger than ever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And there we were — walking the cobblestone streets of Ireland with energy, curiosity, and grateful hearts. Every step felt like a quiet thank-you to the Lord.

We passed towering churches pointing heavenward, charming storefronts, canals, bustling markets, and signs that made us smile. One quote read, \u201cTo describe my mother would be to write about a hurricane in its perfect power.\u201d I chuckled and thought, \u201cThat mama must have been some powerhouse!”

We saw \u201cTo Let\u201d signs (that\u2019s Irish for \u201cFor Rent\u201d), colorful flowers tucked between concrete walls, and a butcher expertly stringing sausages. Life was happening all around us, and we wanted to savor every bit of it.<\/p>\n\n\n

Then came our own adventure. Yikes!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My trusty iPhone was guiding us to the bus, but I accidentally had it set for driving directions instead of walking. What looked like a quick five-minute trip turned into a marathon. Then, to add to the fun, my phone battery died.

There we were — two Texans in Ireland, a little lost and a lot tired.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At that moment, a kind Irish woman hurried by. We asked for help, and with a warm smile and that delightful accent, she pointed us in exactly the right direction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My sweet Carl looked like he had just been handed the winning lottery ticket. In a matter of a few more steps — we spotted the queue — our fellow travelers lined up for the bus. Whew!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And isn\u2019t that just like God?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When our plans fail, our batteries run down, and we\u2019ve wandered farther than intended, the Lord sends help. Sometimes it comes through a friend, a stranger, or a gentle nudge in our hearts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Isaiah 30:21 promises divine guidance, stating: “Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, ‘This is the way; walk in it'”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maybe you feel a bit lost today — ask for help. God knows exactly where you are, and He is faithful to send a guide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
