I asked a young woman what she did for a living and she responded: \u201cOh, I\u2019m just a stay-at-home Mom.\u201d I quickly corrected her \u201cYou are NOT \u201cjust an\u201d anything. You are so blessed to be able to be in a position of the highest honor and status. You are the royal queen of your household, and your subjects are indeed so fortunate to live in your kingdom.” The truth is I have yet to meet a mother who is \u201cjust a mother.\u201d The mothers I know are teachers, confidantes, entrepreneurs, designers, chauffeurs, administrative geniuses, counselors, domestic engineers and so many other titles. The mothers I know are brilliant, strong, gifted, artistic, wisdom-filled, optimistic, forward-thinking, and can-do-anything women.<\/p>\n

These photos today are of my 11-year-old grandson that I captured yesterday here in Austin. Some would say \u201che\u2019s just a kid\u201d! But I\u2019d beg to differ with that opinion. Yes, he IS an 11-year-old kid that loves adventure and climbing trees but he has more skills and loves than most teenagers \u2013 and shall I say, even some adults! He is responsible for 32 animals \u2013 their feeding and watering, cleaning their barns, yards, pens, and coops and he responds to his duties and responsibilities with absolute vigor and delight. He isn\u2019t \u201cJUST A\u2026..\u201d.<\/p>\n

And here\u2019s some additional truth\u2026.no matter what our age, title, our role, or what our job description says, there is no such thing as \u201cjust a yard man, or just a store cashier or just a volunteer or just an anything. As a matter of fact, I think \u201cI am just a\u2026..\u201d is a phrase we need to eliminate from our vocabulary altogether. As part of God\u2019s family, there is no such thing as \u201cjust a.\u201d Let\u2019s look at some of our ancestors:<\/p>\n

~ David could have said he was \u201cjust a shepherd boy.\u201d But he didn\u2019t. He grabbed five smooth stones and slew a giant.
\n~ Paul could have said he was \u201cjust a tentmaker.\u201d But he didn\u2019t. He carried the gospel into the world, spreading it like wildfire and writing nearly 30% of the New Testament.
\n~ Mary could have said she was \u201cjust a teenage girl\u201d from the wrong side of the tracks. But she didn\u2019t. Nine months later, she gave birth to our Savior.<\/p>\n

God could have said He was \u201cjust a creator\u201d. But He didn\u2019t. He could have carelessly thrown the stars into place and tossed the world into space, but He didn\u2019t. Our God created, designed and purposefully placed you and me here on this earth, at this time for purposes beyond what our eyes can see or our minds can conceive.<\/p>\n

God had such detailed plans for our existence that He gave us His best GIFT, His Son, and with His Son, He gave us everything we need to be people of the highest status. We are royalty and \u201cour kind\u201d raise our heads up high, put our shoulders back and stand tall. We are blood-bought Children of Almighty God, and I suggest that\u2019s way more than a \u201cjust a\u201d!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
