I Did It!

I Did It!

I made it through to Day #1 of another year! How can I say thanks? Let me let Andrae Crouch’s song lyrics help me: “How can I say thanks for all the things God has done for me? Things so undeserved that He gave to prove His love for me. The voices of a million angels could not express my gratitude. All that I am and ever hope to be. I owe it all to Thee. To God, be the glory. To God, be the glory. To God, be the glory for the things He has done. With His blood, He has saved me. With His power, He has raised me. To God be the glory for the things He has done.”

My youngest, Bryson, when I picked him up from school: “Nana, is Jose going to take you out for your birthday?” My grands love teasing me. They think because I am learning Spanish that I must have “un hombre espanol” (a Spanish man) waiting in the wings. I replied: “Well, I do have a tall, dark, 6’2”, 55-year-old man coming to take me for breakfast for my birthday.” The “55” is what gave it away! He knew it was his dad I was talking about. LOL!

And his dad didn’t disappoint. He took me to “my choice” for breakfast. It was I-HOP! That’s where my mother-in-law, Karen and George took me for my birthday breakfast every year since my sweetheart went up to heaven to celebrate from there! Of course, God would give us a “delight” in our server, Kendrick. I said, “My name is Donna and it’s my birthday.” Kendrick commenced to belt out the oldie song: “Oh Donna!” I’ll post the video shortly! AND, btw, my 55-year-old son enjoyed the Senior 55+ menu with me! In fact, he owned it! LOL!

Most of all I must give credit and honor THE ONE who made my life possible – God, and my mom and dad, of course!

Life – how sweet it is when we know the Creator of our lives. That “Before God formed us in our mother’s womb, He knew us. Before we were born, He set us apart….” We were intricately and specifically designed by our Creator to “CREATE”. Not only with having offspring, but by creating “life” in those around us. Giving them something, rather SOMEONE, to live for and to emulate.

This song by Bethel Music resonated with me yesterday. It is truly my testimony and my pledge of allegiance to my Lord and Savior. You can bask in this very anointed song by clicking on this link. https://youtu.be/IvSuGyJQ6oM

These are the words that express my gratitude for God’s faithfulness:

I love You, Lord
For Your mercy never fails me
All my days, I’ve been held in Your hands
From the moment that I wake up
Until I lay my head
Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God

And all my life You have been faithful
And all my life You have been so, so good
With every breath that I am able
Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God

I love Your voice
You have led me through the fire
In the darkest night
You are close like no other
I’ve known You as a Father
I’ve known You as a Friend
And I have lived in the goodness of God.

And all my life You have been faithful.
And all my life You have been so, so good.
With every breath that I am able.
Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God.

Your goodness is running after
It’s running after me
Your goodness is running after
It’s running after me
With my life laid down
I’m surrendered now
I give You everything
Your goodness is running after
It’s running after me.
