Taking the Faith Plunge
I know that most of my blog followers are “faith” people. Those are the folks who have read about faith, practiced faith, built their faith up and have seen the merits of exercising faith. Everything God wants to do in our lives, He does so based on faith. And, btw, if you aren’t a “faith” person, I’d be thrilled to help you become one!
Since a little girl, I heard Jesus’ words: “If you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.” Matthew 17:20-21
The truth is everyone has faith. Even an atheist has faith. It’s a matter of what we put our faith in that makes the difference. So, Donna, how do I use the faith I have to get the answers I need? I’m glad you asked!
Romans 10:17 says, “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” The Bible says we get faith from hearing God’s Word. Listening to the Word, reading the Word, immersing ourselves in the Word, and believing the Word gives us the main ingredient for having mustard seed faith.
Mustard seed faith equals just the amount we need to believe:
“With God, all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26
“Jesus said: ‘All things are possible for one who believes.’” Mark 9:23
“Whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.” Matthew 21:22
Trusting in God’s faithfulness over the years has made monumental differences in my life. I can attest to the fact that I was once scared, insecure, shy, and a weak little girl. I had a very sick daddy. Nighttime was fear time. I was afraid that our house would catch on fire. I had little confidence. But God, and my hearing God’s Word! That’s my story.

Faith makes a difference in our lives. Faith is so powerful that when we put just a little of it in our big God, we get big results. Faith turns dreams into reality. It is the basis for any miracle in our lives. I speak today because of the miracles of faith in my family.
My baby girl was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis. But God! She was completely healed and has a 5-1/2 octave voice range. My son was born with severe club feet that would require surgery and braces. But God. He was completely healed and has run 55 full marathons.
Don’t tell me faith doesn’t work. You’re too late! Try it. You’ll like it. The Bible says in 1 John 5:4, “This is the victory that has overcome the world — our faith.” Faith gives us confidence. It neutralizes fear. It gives us the ability to press on. Believe. Please join me in taking the faith plunge today! The water is just right!
