2nd Half of our Super Bowl — Game on!
Today, it felt like the “visiting” team (the opposition in our Super Bowl Game) was fierce, beyond our capability, bigger than life — as we received more medical opinions about strategies for moving forward on the quest for my Honey’s wholeness. Today’s physician told us he didn’t feel surgery to remove the kidney was option of choice and offered other news that would try to challenge our faith.
I’ll admit the “visiting” team threw every negative thought imaginable — taunting, harassing, smack-talking…..words of doubt and unbelief were thrown at us (the Home Team).
Then the story of David came to me — where he faced the giant, Goliath, who was taunting, harassing….and even smack-talking David and the armies of Israel. I Samuel 17:26 describes young David’s attitude toward the giant “Who is this uncircumcised Philistine that he should defy the armies of the living God?” David didn’t allow Goliath’s size to get in the way of what he knew needed to be done. He took on Goliath with just his sling and a stone and the giant was destroyed.
That story speaks to me loud and clear: “What is this giant that could defy the words of my God?” I shake off those words of defeat and loss and replace them once again with the words of the maker of heaven and earth and the maker and healer of my Honey’s body, God’s Word that says in Matthew 19:26….”With God, all things are possible”!
Please continue to pray with us for the miracle that is manifesting in my Honey’s life! Second Half has started and the GAME IS ON!!
