From This Day Forward
The big day has arrived. Later today we will be celebrating the wedding of my firstborn grandson, Braden Wuerch and his beautiful fiancee, Jaclyn Marie Horob. Last night was the rehearsal dinner at Perry’s Steakhouse in downtown Austin.
What a beautiful night we had. Lots of photo opts with our precious Braden and Jaclyn and we were able to meet Jaclyn’s parents, Jim and Bea Horob, who are from North Dakota where they own a 10,000 acre cattle ranch. This was their first trip to Texas.
It was a special time of celebrating the “day before”. Always the hostess with the mostest, our precious Shawntel decorated “The Vault” at Perry’s (a former bank vault) that was turned into a romantic, warm, floral and candlelit haven.
A reel of Braden and Jaclyn’s love story in photos was played throughout the evening. Many of us spoke to them about the beauty of their love and our joys of this beautiful uniting of two hearts becoming one! It was a delightful night for making memories, as well as remininiscing this precious couple’s journey to this day.
Let’s talk about compatability! Braden and Jaclyn found each other in the body building world. I didn’t understand that world until I watched these two dedicated, determined, resilient athletes and trainers give their all to their discipline.
I have come to realize that, besides finding love, they have benefited by healthy eating and are stronger, leaner and healthier in so many ways. They have such a strong work ethic through their daily discipline.
Most of all, I have watched them grow stronger in their relationship with God and each other. Today they’ll tie the knot….officially, as husband and wife. And our family and friends will be there to cheer them on.
Like other young couples, they have dreamed about this day. These two love each other so much. You see it in their big beautiful eyes and you sense that this is a FOREVER LOVE!
Here’s to this day when they’ll stake their claim to love and cherish and hold each other from here to eternity and beyond.
Now, with great expectations they will begin their lives together. I’m so faith-filled that I believe their loving, thriving, helping-each-other-reach-their-full-potential relationship will be blessed by God.
Tonight I’ll shed a few tears — I just know it. That’s what Nanas get to do. Another rite of passage is taking place today. It will be with my prayers and my blessings. I wrote that on a little note yesterday. “Keep God at the Center of your marriage and you will go the distance together — so blessed “FROM THIS DAY FORWARD!”
Thank You, Heavenly Father, for Your blessings on Braden and Jaclyn. Please bless them in all their days with a joyful, faith-filled life, deep love, and with your peace and wisdom flowing in and through them. Through Christ our Lord, we pray! Amen!
