God Makes Masterpieces
God doesn’t do “average.” Just take a look at His portfolio: the rainbow stretching across the sky, the puffy white clouds drifting lazily on a summer day, the majestic trees swaying here in Austin’s green country. And then, take a look at His finest creation — you.
Now, if that makes you squirm because you’re not feeling especially beautiful, talented, or confident right now — it’s time to get over it. Yes, I said it — with love.
God made you exactly as He planned, on purpose and for a purpose. There were no “oops” moments in Heaven when you were designed.
We can’t spend our lives singing the sad songs of self-doubt. It’s time to change the playlist. Turn up the self-talk that declares:
“I can do this! I am so technologically brilliant!” (Even if it still takes you three tries to unmute yourself on Zoom.)
“I am a winner! I will not quit!” (Coffee may be involved, but still—you’re unstoppable.)
“There is no limit to what I can accomplish!” (Philippians 4:13 agrees with you.)
“I will make a positive difference in many people’s lives!”
“I am wealthy!” (And not just in the bank account — your life is rich in love, hope, and grace.)
“I am bee-u-ti-ful!” (Say it like you mean it!)
Ephesians 2:10 says, “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” That means you’re not just a work in progress — you’re a work of art.
The world doesn’t need another copy of someone else. It needs you — your voice, your kindness, your laugh, your quirks, and your unique way of making life better for the people around you.
So today, hold your head high and walk like you belong — because you do. You were created by the Master Artist who never makes mistakes.
Look in the mirror and say it again:
“I am God’s masterpiece.”
