I’m Still Here – and I’m So Grateful
This is the day the Lord made ME, and I’m so grateful He did.
Not that I’m leaving this earth any time soon, I’ve told my family that I want the song by Cece Winans “I Will Sing of the Goodness of God”, to be sung at my Celebration of Life – which will be either sooner or later.
I’m okay with living on the edge of eternity. How could anyone NOT look forward to our home sweet home in heaven?
In the meantime, I sing with Cece because it is my testimony! Here’s the short version:
“I love You, Lord,
For Your mercy never fails me
All my days, I’ve been held in Your hands
From the moment that I wake up
Until I lay my head
Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God
‘Cause all my life You have been faithful
And all my life You have been so, so good
With every breath that I am able

Like that song – I am thanking God for the full, blessed and fruitful life that He’s given me. But I’m coming clean – I have some truths to reveal.
~ I am NOT a “wonder woman”. Sometimes I am whiny!
~ I am NOT a “Mary” sitting at the feet of Jesus most of the time. The truth is I am often a “Martha” and I am too busy for my own good, AND God’s good.
~ I often stumble. I often speak up when I should be silent and listen.
~ I know that I’m on assignment to speak encouragement and truth in my daily blogs. I’m speaking those messages to ME, because I need to hear and heed those words, myself!!
But I don’t let myself stay in negative thoughts and feelings for very long. With absolute certainty….
I know I am God’s daughter.
I love my Father, His Son (my Lord Jesus Christ) and Holy Spirit (my comforter).
I love my husband, my family and YOU!
I know I was made to speak, write and declare good news!
I am determined to finish my race strong.
My birthday gift to you is the same gift to me! To remind us that we are winners. We are not alone. We are going to keep marching on!
Let’s keep running to our Finish Line where we’ll hear our Divine Cheerleader say to us, “Well done, good and faithful servants!”
