No Time for Slackers

No Time for Slackers

Yesterday was one for the books — our Bryson graduated from high school! 🎓
Family came from all directions to cheer him on, and let me tell you: this guy didn’t just cross the finish line — he leapt over it like a champion hurdler in boots.

Diagnosed with dyslexia as a child, Bryson could’ve settled. He could’ve made excuses. He could’ve coasted. But instead? He pursued, conquered, and kept showing up with grit, grace, and that trademark Bryson grin.

And from my part-time Nana-caregiving role, I had a front-row seat to watch him become a living, breathing testimony that nothing is impossible with God.

That’s not just a nice verse for our wall art — that’s real life. That’s how we pray.

Because if you believe God is FOR you (and spoiler alert: He is), then you don’t pray wimpy, “bless my sandwich” kind of prayers. You pray BIG, audacious, mountain-moving, only-God-can-do-this kind of prayers.

Prayers are prophecies. They shape the script of our lives. They are not a backup plan. They are THE plan.

And here’s the good news: God is not offended by our biggest dreams. He is offended by small prayers that don’t even require Him to show up.

I’ve prayed those bold prayers. I’ve seen the trajectory of lives changed — not just because we asked for a miracle, but because we trusted the Miracle-Worker. Sometimes He moves the mountain we point at. Other times? He reroutes us around it and gives us a view we never saw coming.

And that, dear reader, is the story behind our Bryson. He’s not a slacker. He’s a man on purpose. A man with dreams. And a man who knows where his help comes from.

So here’s to all the Brysons out there. And all of us who need the reminder: Don’t slack. Don’t settle. Pray big. Dream bold. And trust God to do what only He can.

Because with Him, this journey’s just getting started.
