Oh, the Glory Hallelujah!

 Oh, the Glory Hallelujah!

It was a slice of heaven last Sunday morning.
A giant American flag was the bold backdrop for our incredible choir and orchestra. Patriotic music filled the sanctuary, echoing our gratitude for this land we love. And, we sang each song of each branch of the military that keep watch over us.

Holy chill bumps came as we sang “Glory, Glory Hallelujah – His truth is marching on!” And, “America the Beautiful” and “God Bless America” — and yet, our eyes lifted higher, toward the eternal home we long for.

Our beautifully multicultural and multinational congregation gathered in unity — a glorious glimpse of what’s to come when “every nation, tribe, people and language” stands together before the throne of God (Revelation 7:9).

The apostle John saw it too — in a vision, he witnessed a great multitude clothed in white, singing in harmony before the throne:
“Praise and glory and wisdom and thanks and honor and power and strength be to our God forever and ever!” (Revelation 7:12)

Now that is a worship service worth getting dressed up for.
Scripture tells us the marriage supper of the Lamb will one day unite Christ with His radiant, international Bride (Revelation 19:9).

No seating charts, no divisions, no borders. Just joy. Just Jesus. Just us — together, finally whole.

But why wait?
Let’s live like we’re already there.
Let’s stop bickering, whining, and clinging to things that divide us.
Let’s start loving, praising, serving, and walking like people who’ve been bought with a price — a price far greater than anything this world could offer.

And while we wait in hope for that grand wedding day, let’s practice.
Let’s feast with one another.
Let’s worship loud and laugh often.
Let’s clean our hearts — no spots, no wrinkles — just grace-pressed lives ready for glory.
Because the invitation has already been sent.
And the Lamb? He’s waiting with open arms.

What a day it will be when every nation and tongue gathers before the Lamb. Until then, let’s live like we’re already at the wedding feast – joyful, unified and full of praise!
