There Will Be Miracles
I’m still basking in the glow of all the birthday love — thank you, dear family and friends, for making me feel so celebrated! But today I’m carrying that gratitude forward with a reminder that lifts my heart every time I see it: “There will be miracles.”
I bought that sign years ago. It still makes me smile. Because it’s true. Miracles aren’t a “maybe.” They’re a certainty. Sometimes we think of miracles only as the big, jaw-dropping kind — seas parting, mountains moving, healings happening instantly. And yes, God absolutely does those! But sometimes the miracles are smaller, quieter, and easier to overlook.
Miracles look like…
• Taking a deep breath and realizing, I’m still here.
• Watching the sunrise paint the sky and remembering, God is still in control.
• A phone call from a friend at just the right time.
• Laughter that bubbles up in the middle of tears.
• And the greatest miracle of all — a heart made new, set free by God’s amazing grace.
So yes, I believe there will be miracles — because I believe in the Miracle Worker. Jesus said in John 14:12, “Whoever believes in Me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these.” Greater things! That means our story isn’t finished yet.
I may not be Wonder Woman, but I can be a faith-filled woman who expects God to show up for me every day! Please forgive this rant – but thinking about my President, at age 79, who wakes up each day for our Country and you and me, I think I can wake up with zeal and determination, too!
It’s just a couple of days after my birthday and I’m still in the celebration mode! And, as my young-whipper-snapper-self, I’m not ready to quit either.
I am inspired to keep swinging. I am far from running our Country, but I can keep running my race with hope and joy. I may not control the future, but I can trust the One who already holds it.
So, let’s live today with eyes wide open — looking for miracles, big and small. Because if we’re breathing, if we’re loving, if we’re believing — we are those miracles!
“Miracles aren’t a maybe. They’re a certainty — because we believe in the Miracle Worker. Let’s keep our eyes open today – we just might find one in the making!
