There’s No High Like the Most High!

Let’s be honest — we live in a world chasing highs. The caffeine high. The sugar high. The shopping high. And don’t forget the thrill-seekers jumping out of airplanes, scaling mountains, or impulse-ordering from late-night infomercials. We’re all trying to feel something more.

But here’s the truth I’ve come to know deep in my soul:
There is no high like the Most High.

No buzz from Starbucks can compare to the joy and peace of the presence of God. No adrenaline rush can match the soul-deep satisfaction. No perfectly-seared creme brulee can equal this experience.

I remember once hearing someone say, “I tried everything to fill the void — until I let God fill it.” Oh, how I nodded in agreement. We look to people, positions, possessions — but none of it ever quite reaches the aching places of the heart.

Psalm 16:11 says it best: “In Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” That’s not a temporary thrill. That’s a full-on, lasting, peace-that-passes-understanding kind of high.

Spending time in God’s Word? High.
Singing in church and raising my hands in worship? High.
Praying with a friend and sensing God show up? HIGH!

It’s not hype. It’s not a gimmick. It’s the Most High God filling the lowest parts of us. He lifts us up. He reminds us who we are. He sets us on solid ground.

Isaiah 40:31 reminds us: “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles…” Now that’s a spiritual high-flyer if I’ve ever seen one!

So, dear friends, the next time you’re feeling low…
Don’t reach for the remote. Reach for the Redeemer.
Get high on hope, peace, joy, and everlasting love.

The Most High is always the most satisfying HIGH ever!
