Welcome, Come On In!

“Welcome, come on in — we’re so pleased YOU came!”

Last Thursday, during our Life Group, one of our ladies was sharing some concerns she had — especially because of the news that her job had been discontinued. While we were encouraging her with God’s faithfulness and that this situation was no surprise to Him, we also told her to trust Him that as one door closes, another door will open.

Just at the exact moment we were speaking about the open door, the front door of my home gently opened with only the sunlight coming in. We chose to believe that in our conversation about HIM, we heard His voice, and invited HIM into the door of our hearts…..and, indeed, HE came in to confirm that what we were speaking in faith….was true!

Yes, we got goosebumps and were in awe. Some would say “That was just a coincidence. The door wasn’t closed tightly when the last lady came in.” But, we said what God’s Word says, “As your faith is, so be it unto you.” Of course, we’re expecting that open door for this precious lady. We know that “nothing is impossible with God” and the last time I checked, He is still performing miracles and sending blessings by the truck load.

“Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends.” Revelations 3:20
