Wherever He Leads
Sometimes our journeys take us through wonderful places — those seasons when everything feels right in our world. The road is smooth, the view is beautiful, and we’re humming along, windows down, hair blowing, singing off-key but loving every minute of it.
But then… the GPS of life suddenly reroutes. We find ourselves grinding up a rocky mountain of trouble or wandering through a dark forest of fear, wondering where in the world the “scenic route” went.
It’s in those moments we have to remember: God hasn’t taken His hand off the wheel. He hasn’t misplaced the map or forgotten the destination. At every turn, around every curve, through every detour — He is right there, showing us the way.
Jesus told Peter in John 21:19, “Follow me.” He didn’t say, “Follow me only when it’s easy,” or “Follow me when you can see the road signs.” He just said, “Follow me.”
And that’s our job — to follow. Not to fix. Not to figure out. Just follow.
Following Jesus doesn’t mean we won’t face steep climbs or scary valleys. It just means we never travel them alone. He’s the One who sees what’s around the next corner, who knows when to slow down, when to accelerate, and when to pull over and rest.
I’ve learned (the hard way, many times) that when I take the driver’s seat, I usually end up on an off-road experience — spiritually, emotionally, or geographically! But when I let Him lead, even the roughest roads somehow lead to beauty.
So whether you’re on a sunlit stretch of joy or a bumpy road of uncertainty, keep your eyes on Jesus. Trust His direction. He’s the best Guide, the surest Compass, and the most faithful traveling Companion you’ll ever have.
And who knows? The view from the next turn might just lead you to the most incredible place of beauty and peace that can almost take your breath away.
The road of life has twists, turns, and a few potholes — but when we follow Jesus, every path leads somewhere good.
“,,,,,,Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.” 1 Peter 2:21
